Alternative practitioner

  • Study the fascination of the human body.

  • Learn the Ayurvedic art of healing in a practical and authentic way.

  • Become a Heilpraktiker*in with state recognition and use the innovative course concept with supplementary video lessons.

The training to become a non-medical practitioner is an intensive course of study in modern medicine. You can complete it independently or in combination with our study of Ayurvedic medicine, which is only open to members or aspirants of a medical profession.

Ayurveda as a healing method
With Ayurveda, you as a Heilpraktiker*in have a holistic medical system at hand, which has proven itself for centuries. If you would like to work with this method, it is recommended that you study Ayurveda medicine in addition to your Heilpraktiker training.

Our lecturers have many years of Ayurvedic background. This enables a lively study, in which not only the extensive knowledge of the healing science is conveyed, but also your personality development and therapist competence is individually promoted.

In three steps to become a non-medical practitioner with study of Ayurveda medicine

Step 1: Training tobecome a non-medical practitioner
35 days intensive seminars HP + optional 6 days Ayurveda basic course
Through the seminars with guided preparation and follow-up as well as extensive training materials you will receive the basic knowledge of modern medicine, i.e. anatomy, physiology, pathology, supplemented with hygiene and law.

The HP training blocks comprise 9 x 3 days of contact teaching including short revision courses as well as a practical seminar and examination preparation of 4 days each.

Here you can systematically deepen your medical knowledge. We recommend that you also attend the Ayurveda basic course (6 days) and, building on this, at least the basic course in Ayurveda medicine. This way you will learn modern medicine together with Ayurveda from the very beginning.

The proven methods include a practical reference with many case studies, interactive question-answer lessons and short presentations. Thus the participants*innen of the European academy for Ayurveda exhibit a high success ratio with the examinations.

The Heilpraktiker examination is taken by the health authority of your place of residence. It is not part of the training.

Step 2: Study of Ayurvedic medicine - basic study
with 24/30 days Ayurveda

Through the medical knowledge that you have acquired in the first year of training as a non-medical practitioner, you qualify as a rule from the third HP semester for the basic study of Ayurveda medicine. The participation in the 6-day Ayurveda basic course will be credited to you, provided that you have already attended this course in step 1.

Step 3: Study of Ayurveda medicine - main study
with further 30 days + 34 days internship

After the basic study of Ayurvedic medicine, you will take an examination to become a certified Medical Ayurvedic Specialist at the European Academy of Ayurveda. The successful completion as well as the passing of the official Heilpraktiker examination qualifies you to continue the main study of Ayurveda Medicine. This offers you the perspective for a comprehensive acquisition of competence for the treatment of diseases with Ayurveda.
