Ayurvedic medicine - study and further training

The part-timestudy of Ayurvedic medicine is a personal path of development and discovery that leads to a new way of thinking and medical perception. It is suitable for

  • doctors and physicians
  • non-medical practitioners and
  • members of other healing professions with therapeutically oriented professional experience

Those who decide to study at the European Academy of Ayurveda will learn Ayurvedic medicine authentically and on a scientific basis. Experienced professors and Ayurvedic physicians teach here with high reference to clinical practice. At the end, you will receive a recognized degree that will enable you to use Ayurvedic medicine within the framework of the local health care system.

Especially for physicians we have the advanced training course "Ayurveda as complementary medicine" in our program, for which CME points could be acquired so far. If you have no previous medical knowledge, you can start with us with a Heilpraktiker training.

 

Study of Ayurvedic Medicine

Part 1 - For doctors, alternative practitioners and medical professions

Basic studies Ayurvedic Medicine

Advanced training for physicians, alternative practitioners and members of other healing professions who want to work professionally with Ayurvedic medicine.

  • You will acquire the basics to integrate Ayurveda into your medical practice - from diagnosis to therapy.
  • A flexible schedule allows you to study Ayurveda part-time.
  • The first part of the program ends with a certificate as "Medical Ayurveda Specialist".

Part 1 - Basic studies specifically for physicians

Continuing medical education: Ayurveda as complementary medicine

For this advanced training, the basic study of Ayurvedic medicine has been specially tailored to the level of knowledge of medical doctors.

  • The essence of the university Ayurveda training in India (BAMS), aligned with the WHO guidelines.
  • Recognized by the DÄGAM-Ärztegesellschaft- CME-points are applied for (so far approx. 140)
  • Use Ayurvedic medicine as a complement to modern medicine or naturopathic procedures.

- recognized by the VEAT association
- CME points are applied for (so far approx. 140 - points are only awarded for the BERLIN modules!)

Part 2 - For graduates of the basic study program

Major studies Ayurvedic Medicine

Graduates of the basic course can continue their studies with part 2 to treat more complex diseases with Ayurveda.

  • Comprehensive study of clinical medicine (kaya-cikitsa) with its Ayurvedic diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
  • Integrated internships in India and Europe support the transfer into practice.
  • The goal is the degree "Study of Ayurvedic Medicine", recognized by the VEAT and the DÄGAM medical society.

Optimal preparation for the state examination

Alternative practitioner

If you want to study Ayurvedic medicine without any previous medical knowledge, you will find your entry through our Heilpraktiker training.

  • You will receive a sound education in modern medicine, always with reference to Ayurvedic medicine.
  • Dedicated lecturers make you fit for the examination before the health authority, supported by video lessons.
  • You are free to take up the basic studies of Ayurveda medicine in parallel.

Naturopath Ayurvedic Medicine

This training leads you directly to the highest degree possible in European Ayurveda.

  • You have a clear goal in mind: the federal diploma, recognized by the health insurance companies.
  • Along the way you will study Ayurvedic medicine in depth, underpinned by conventional medical knowledge.
  • At the end you will have your own practice, where people with acute or chronic ailments can find help.
