Anyone who wishes to study and explore Ayurveda from its very origins must look far back into the past. The textbooks of traditional Indian medicine date back as far as 2,500 years; they were first passed down orally and later recorded in written form.

To this day, the system of Ayurvedic medicine is based on the ancient collections of texts known as the Samhitas. And anyone who wishes to grasp the universal knowledge of Ayurveda authentically and holistically must also study these ancient texts and their interpretations.
