Arrival and contact

Birstein is located 70 km northeast of Frankfurt/Main. It is easy to reach via the A66 (Frankfurt-Fulda), exit Wächtersbach/Bad Orb. Shortly after entering Birstein you have to turn right. This route will take you to Obersotzbach, even though the village is not yet signposted. However, you can follow our Rosenberg signs, which show you the way directly to Forsthausstraße 6 of Obersotzbach from the entrance of Birstein.

With the ICE you can easily get from anywhere to Fulda, Hanau or Frankfurt. There you change to the regional express Frankfurt-Fulda, destination station is Wächtersbach or Bad Soden-Salmünster. From there a bus or taxi will take you comfortably to Obersotzbach within 15 minutes, bus stop Alte Schule (300 m or 2 minutes walk to the Academy).

Parallel to the train arrival times from the direction of Frankfurt (arrival from the direction of Fulda with a 25 min stopover), a low-cost (for holders of a valid RMV ticket without additional payment) AST connection (Anrufsammeltaxi line 76a) runs from Bad Soden-Salmünster station in the direction of Birstein. The service runs from 5:20 a.m. to 7:20 p.m. every 2 hours on weekdays, and from 6:20 a.m. every 2 hours on weekends, Sundays and public holidays.

Book an AST from Bad Soden-Salmünster station to the Alte Schule stop in Obersotzbach (300 m or a 2 minute walk to the academy) at least 60 minutes before the start of the journey (for early journeys until 20:00 the evening before) on Tel: 0800 05 84 584.
