Dr. med. Ananda Samir Chopra

Ananda Chopra
Head of the Ayurveda department at the Habichtswaldklinik Kassel

Dr. med. Ananda Chopra studied medicine and Indology at the University of Heidelberg. After obtaining his license to practice medicine, he spent a year in Kolkata, India, studying Ayurveda. Since 1996, Dr. Chopra has been head physician of the Ayurveda department at the Habichtswaldklinik Kassel. From 2009 to 2011, he was a research assistant in a research project on the modern history of Ayurveda at the University of Heidelberg. In addition to his clinical work, he continues to be scientifically active in the history of medicine.
