Need to cool down?

Then this refreshing summer drink is perfect

Whether in the garden on a deckchair or in the office. Watermelon reduces Pitta, which is often too high in summer, and the mint strengthens your digestive fire (Agni) while having a calming effect on your nervous system. See for yourself, it's very easy to make.

That's all you need for a glass of this delicious, cooling drink:

Ingredients

  • 350 g watermelon
  • 1 date
  • 1 tsp lemon
  • 2-3 peppermint leaves
  • 1 dl water

Preparation:

  1. Choose a glass in which you would like to enjoy your summer drink. Slice pieces of watermelon into it until it is full. To enjoy as many nutrients and health-promoting components of the melon as possible, also use the seeds and the white part of the melon that is close to the rind

  2. Place the melon pieces together with a pitted date, a teaspoon of lemon and 2-3 mint leaves in your blender with 1 dl of cool water. Mix all the ingredients in your blender until you have a homogeneous drink

  3. Enjoy the drink without adding ice cubes so that your body is not exposed to a hot/cold shock. If you don't want to drink it straight away, pour it into a simple glass and take it with you to work or to the lake for a refreshing swim

Here's to many great summer days!
