Purging procedure (Pancakarma)

Draining therapies are a central area of in-depth clinical Ayurveda treatment. We want to free the body from disease-causing stress factors. These effective procedures must be very precisely coordinated and applied to the individual patient with great sensitivity. We look at the various phases in detail and also experience individual elimination procedures in practice on our own bodies. We not only learn how to apply the classic Pancakarma therapies, but also how to plan the therapy in a structured and individualized way.

- Basic principles and mode of action of internal cleansing in Ayurveda
- Ayurvedic and modern explanatory approaches
- General indications and contraindications for internal cleansing, the eight great mistakes (ashtamahadosha)
- Three phases of pancakarma: pre-treatment, main treatment and post-treatment
- Detailed explanation of pre-treatment (purvakarma): Dissolution and mobilization of pathogenic factors through snehana and svedana
