On February 2, Mark Rosenberg, Director of the European Academy of Ayurveda, received the much acclaimed IASTAM Pandit Shiv Sharma Oration Award for his outstanding contribution to the spread of Ayurveda in 2018. The award was presented by the Governor of Delhi during the inauguration of the International Conference on Challenges to the Global Competitiveness of Ayurveda and Natural Products in Delhi, jointly organized by DIPSAR University and the International Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicine AISTAM.
Mark Rosenberg is the 13th awardee in the line of well-known personalities in the field of Ayurveda to receive this special award.
IASTAM President Dr. Narendra Bhatt on the award said, "IASTAM, in memory of its Founder President and distinguished Vaidya Padmabhushan Pandit Shiv Sharma, has instituted this "Oration" to promote the propagation of Ayurveda or to render outstanding service to the cause of Ayurveda. The Pandit Shiv Sharma Memorial Oration was established for the express purpose of recognizing efforts to promote and propagate the Ayurvedic cause."
