Recently, our medical director of studies, Prof. Dr. Martin Mittwede, visited one of our partner institutions in India: the Mahagujarat Medical Society based in Nadiad (Gujarat). Once a year, an international symposium is organized. This year, the main topic was "Practical Application of Ayurvedic Core Concepts and Diagnostics." On the occasion of this event, Prof. Dr. Martin Mittwede was awarded a prize in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of Ayurveda in the field of education.

Recently, our medical director, Prof. Dr. Martin Mittwede, visited one of our partner institutions in India: the Mahagujarat Medical Society based in Nadiad (Gujarat). Under their roof work an Ayurvedic and a modern-western hospital, as well as two colleges, one for Ayurvedic medicine and one for nursing sciences.

From these colleges, the Maganbhai Adenwala Mahagujarat University was formed in 2022, which is recognized by the state. In total, the Mahagujarat Medical Society employs over 800 people who provide medical care for many people. The quality management in the Ayurveda clinic with more than 170 beds, where mainly patients with partly severe chronic diseases are treated, is impressive. At the time of the visit, about one third of the patients suffered from renal insufficiency. The clinic has a wealth of experience in this clinical picture. Several research papers have been published on the success of Ayurvedic therapies in this area.

Starting with the own cultivation of medicinal plants, the processing and production of Ayurvedic remedies, over the well-founded training of Ayurvedic doctors up to the intensive and loving care of the patients, one can intensively perceive and experience the Ayurvedic spirit in the Ayurvedic clinic Nadiad. Physical therapies, psychological care and the integration of Indian spirituality create a protective space for the suffering people who visit the clinic.

Once a year an international symposium is organized in Nadiad. This year the main topic was "Practical Application of Ayurvedic Core Concepts and Diagnostics." On the occasion of this event, Prof. Dr. Martin Mittwede was awarded a prize in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of Ayurveda in the field of education. Our students of Ayurvedic medicine visit Nadiad as part of their studies and can deepen their knowledge there during their internships and experience the wide range of Ayurvedic medicine for many diseases.
