With elements from Ayurvedic medicine, the YogaChikitsa - Yoga-Ayurveda-Therapy training teaches you a completely new approach to looking at people and health. With special practice cycles, in which asanas and pranayama are adapted in therapeutically oriented variations to the constitution and individual complaints, the power of yoga can unfold.

Compact teaching in small groups with many practical exercises enable you to directly apply what you have learned during the training. Selected yoga teachers and specialist lecturers accompany and support you in a multifaceted framework that is free of dogmas. Studying in the personal atmosphere of the European Academy of Ayurveda gives you the additional security and connection to the largest Ayurveda community in Europe.

Learning objectives

What you can expect:
- Gently deepen your own yoga practice and your special consulting skills in the field of yoga and Ayurveda.
- Recognize the doshas of Ayurveda in their effects and how you can shape sustainable and gentle changes to health with their help and through type-appropriate yoga.
- Learn the special breath exercises (pranayama) for yourself and others for prevention and healing
- Discover the connections of bandhas and prana in the healing arts through your own experience and design nutrition and lifestyle ( ahara/vihara) for yourself and your yoga (individual) classes with others.
- Using Ayurvedic and yogic diagnostic tools, you will learn to recognize, analyze and correct misbehavior and bad postures in individual and group classes in a practical and applied way.
- You will practice overcoming mental stress and sadness, impatience and anxiety with the help of Ayurveda and through yogic deep relaxation and apply teaching concepts to burn-out, depression and other symptoms such as insomnia.
- Learn and apply the wisdom of Ayurveda in type-based psychology.
- Discover your agni, the strength of immunity and resilience.
- Learn about the world of Ayurvedic herbs that can accompany you and others through your life like close friends.
- Practice the simple practices of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis to individually refine your designed yoga exercise plans and increase the success of your treatments.

Structure

The training in YogaChikitsa - Yoga Ayurveda Therapy is a year-long training with 6 blocks of 3 days each (18 days in total). The training plan can be arranged in individual order. The training is especially recommended as an additional qualification to the training as a yoga teacher 200h and yoga teacher 500h, to let your knowledge grow in practical application and to expand it meaningfully with Ayurveda.

Seeing with the heart - type-appropriate Ayurvedic psychology
- Personality structures of the physical and mental constitutional types
- Type-appropriate reaction patterns and blockages
- Seeing with the heart - energy work and solution approaches in working with
the body sheaths (Koshas)
- Approaches of traditional Ayurvedic psychotherapy based on mental needs and causes of illness (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Mosksha)
- Nutritional recommendations and strengthening measures for mental

- Practice of type-appropriate Ayurveda coaching

- Fundamentals of Ayurvedic constitutional and nutritional teachings "Food as medicine"

- Asana sequences to balance dosha imbalances and strengthen agni

You will learn
to develop solution-oriented therapy concepts that correspond to the different personalities (doshas) and mental conditions (gunas)
- calming and strengthening techniques from the treasure trove of yoga asanas and pranayama and how you can usefully reinforce them with Ayurveda
- the special accompanying techniques of Ayurveda Yoga Chikitsa for asthma, digestive weakness ,tension, palpitations, chronic pain and cancer
- apply the implementation of Ayurveda Yoga Chikitsa in the successful coaching of your individual clients
- use the sound and mantras with practical exercises in healing in Ayurveda Yoga Chikitsa


Touching anatomy in the context of yoga and Ayurveda
You will learn
- how to locate the most important bones and their joint connections in motion
- how to hear and feel joint movements such as shoulder, hip, knee, hand
- recognizing disorders in the movement of joints
- health and movement of the spine and back in all directions of movement
- examinations and tests on the back and spine that are useful for teaching yoga, in yoga therapy and massage
- Overview of the most common injuries and complaints
- Function and position of stabilizing and moving muscle groups, consideration of the fascial system and the myofascial system in movement
- Typical restrictions due to incorrect strain on muscles and fascia
- Blood circulation: Recognizing heart and vascular health, simple tests and examination
- Notes for practitioners: Recognize emergencies and act accordingly
- Respiratory: the lungs, the nasopharynx, the diaphragm and the auxiliary respiratory muscles
- Palpation of internal organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys, intestines and bladder and an overview of their movements and functions
