With elements from Ayurvedic medicine, the YogaChikitsa - Yoga-Ayurveda-Therapy training teaches you a completely new approach to looking at people and health. With special practice cycles, in which asanas and pranayama are adapted in therapeutically oriented variations to the constitution and individual complaints, the power of yoga can unfold.

Compact teaching in small groups with many practical exercises enable you to directly apply what you have learned during the training. Selected yoga teachers and specialist lecturers accompany and support you in a multifaceted framework that is free of dogmas. Studying in the personal atmosphere of the European Academy of Ayurveda gives you the additional security and connection to the largest Ayurveda community in Europe.

Learning objectives

What you can expect:
- Gently deepen your own yoga practice and your special consulting skills in the field of yoga and Ayurveda.
- Recognize the doshas of Ayurveda in their effects and how you can shape sustainable and gentle changes to health with their help and through type-appropriate yoga.
- Learn the special breath exercises (pranayama) for yourself and others for prevention and healing
- Discover the connections of bandhas and prana in the healing arts through your own experience and design nutrition and lifestyle ( ahara/vihara) for yourself and your yoga (individual) classes with others.
- Using Ayurvedic and yogic diagnostic tools, you will learn to recognize, analyze and correct misbehavior and bad postures in individual and group classes in a practical and applied way.
- You will practice overcoming mental stress and sadness, impatience and anxiety with the help of Ayurveda and through yogic deep relaxation and apply teaching concepts to burn-out, depression and other symptoms such as insomnia.
- Learn and apply the wisdom of Ayurveda in type-based psychology.
- Discover your agni, the strength of immunity and resilience.
- Learn about the world of Ayurvedic herbs that can accompany you and others through your life like close friends.
- Practice the simple practices of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis to individually refine your designed yoga exercise plans and increase the success of your treatments.

Structure

The training in YogaChikitsa - Yoga Ayurveda Therapy is a year-long training with 6 blocks of 3 days each (18 days in total). The training plan can be arranged in individual order. The training is especially recommended as an additional qualification to the training as a yoga teacher 200h and yoga teacher 500h, to let your knowledge grow in practical application and to expand it meaningfully with Ayurveda.

Touching anatomy in the context of yoga and Ayurveda
