Sirodhara, Pinda sveda and Siddha-Marma are just a few of the Ayurvedic treatment methods that you should master for Ayurvedic therapy at the highest level. Practical skills in Ayurvedic diagnosis and special treatments for the musculoskeletal system are also important in order to cover the diverse spectrum of holistic Ayurveda therapy.

Another highlight is the integrative work of the South Indian Kalari and Marma therapies, which will give your work a special quality of precise treatment procedures with oils, herbal pouches or compresses selected according to type .

How is the training structured?

The comprehensive training to become an Ayurveda therapist comprises 3 training stages with a total of 45 days:

  1. Ayurveda wellness practitioner (12 days of practical lessons in Ayurvedic massage)
  2. Ayurveda massage practitioner (+ 12 days of in-depth Ayurveda knowledge and health coaching - also online)
  3. Ayurveda therapist (+ 15 days of training + 6 days of work shadowing)

With the advanced modules to become an Ayurveda therapist, you determine the order and pace of your intensive practice seminars yourself. You can even choose to learn the curative Ayurveda special treatments in the online training of our eAcademy!

During the 6-day internship within a medically supervised Ayurveda cure, you will experience everyday clinical life in a professional Ayurveda cure center and gain confidence in your own therapeutic work by working with experienced Ayurveda therapists and doctors. Since 15.03.2022, the internship is only possible with proof of Covid-19 vaccination or recovery.

In the last training module "In-depth treatment practice & supervision of Ayurveda therapy", the oral and practical examination to become an Ayurveda therapist takes place. You then prepare for your certified final examination with a digital learning question database.

How much does the Ayurveda training cost?

Guest houses are available on the campus of the European Academy of Ayurveda. You can choose from rooms of different categories for your overnight stay during the training. Ayurvedic full board from our organic kitchen is included in the room price.

b) As an option for participants from Germany and Austria, we also offer payment in installments. Payment (direct debit) of the monthly installments is made on the 1st of each month, starting from the month of the start of the training booked here, for eAcademy modules immediately. Learning checks and exams

During this specialist course, you will use the digital learning platform to prove that you have internalized the knowledge from this course and demonstrate your massage skills in a practical exam.

  • Learning checks: Each module ends with a learning check to reassure you and us that you have achieved the learning objectives. It contains 20 multiple choice questions and must be passed with at least 70%. You can complete the learning check a maximum of three times.
  • 2 qualification tests: After completing 4 modules each, you will be activated on the learning platform for a qualification test as an "Ayurveda Health Coach" or "Ayurveda Wellness Practitioner". You will be asked 8 multiple choice questions. You have two attempts to answer them correctly.
  • Final practical exam after the "Ayurveda wellness practitioner" module: Demonstration of a 45-minute Ayurvedic massage including pre- and post-treatment

If you pass everything successfully, you will already have your first certificates in your pocket.

The final examination to become an Ayurveda massage practitioner consists of 3 further parts:

  • Practical case: anamnesis and constitution determination, therapy planning as well as massage and treatment protocols of 3 treatments with supplementary health recommendations
  • Written final examination (digital) on a predetermined examination day with 50 multiple choice questions, duration: 1.5 hours. The exam is passed with 70% correct answers. Thanks to our online learning database, you can prepare yourself optimally.
  • Final oral exam on a previously scheduled exam day

The written and oral final exams take place on the same day on one of the official exam dates. You register in advance. You submit your practical cases at least 4 weeks before this date.

The final examination is deemed to have been passed if all parts of the examination have at least been passed. The exam or individual parts of it can be repeated a maximum of 2 times.

Have you passed everything? Then you are already an "Ayurveda massage practitioner" and have achieved an important goal.

  • Practical examination: This takes place at the end of the internship in supervised individual work.
  • Final paper: Case documentation with anamnesis and therapy strategy as well as recorded massages/consultations of 5 treatments. The written assignment must be submitted 3 to 5 months after the last training module.

The final examinations are deemed to have been passed if all parts of the examination have at least been passed. The examination or individual parts of it can be repeated a maximum of 2 times.

Have you passed everything? Then you can look forward to your final certificate as an "Ayurveda therapist", which we will send you by post.

Work shadowing

6 days at the Ayurveda health and spacenter Birstein
In order for you to consolidate your newly acquired therapeutic skills in practice, an internship at the Rosenberg Ayurveda health and spa center is part of your training. During this week, you will work intensively to provide our spa guests with Ayurvedic treatments. Our experienced Ayurveda therapists will look after you while you accompany the ongoing spa operations, and an Ayurveda doctor or alternative practitioner will also look after you during the medical cures.

Please arrange the date for your work shadowing with us individually.

Costs
The internship is free of charge. You only pay for the accommodation on site in the category of your choice.

Your work in Ayurveda therapy gives you about 4 hours of free time per day. If you need more time for yourself, for example to relax or study, the internship is subject to a fee.

Compulsory Covid-19 vaccination
Since 15.03.2022, the facility-related vaccination obligation against Covid-19 has been in force in accordance with § 20a IfSG. This also applies to the Rosenberg Ayurveda Kurzentrum, where you will complete your internship as a participant in the Ayurveda therapy training. Against this background, we can only offer you an internship place if you provide us with one of the following immunization certificates:

1. proof of vaccination
2. proof of recovery
3. medical certificate stating that you cannot be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 due to a medical contraindication.
